Bears have not approached Cutler on extension
Jay Cutler - QB - Chicago Bears
Feb. 21, 2013 - 1:55 PM ET

The Bears have not approached QB Jay Cutler about a contract extension.

Cutler is owed $8.47 million in the final season of a five-year pact. It wouldn't be in the team's best interest in paying Cutler right now, anyway, since they haven't seen him in new head coach Marc Trestman's offense.
