GM Ruston Webster confirmed Thursday that the Titans will retain free agent Jared Cook.
This figures to be a tough negotiation due to Cook's usage. The Titans can argue that he's never caught more than 49 balls in a season and has eight total touchdowns in four years. Cook's agent can easily retort that his meager production has been a result of maddening under-utilization. If the two sides can't agree on a long-term deal, the Titans will use the $5.962 million franchise tag. Either way, expect a greater emphasis on getting Cook's unique athletic ability involved in 2013. He'll be a post-hype kind of fantasy sleeper.
