FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal mentions Ramon Hernandez as a candidate to be traded by the Rockies before the start of the season.
The Rockies desperately need to upgrade their starting pitching, and a source tells Rosenthal that they're looking to add a back-of-the-rotation starter before Opening Day. Hernandez is due $3.2 million this season and is expendable as a backup to Wilin Rosario. The Rockies could also consider trading catcher/infielder Jordan Pacheco, and have quality depth in Yorvit Torrealba, who was signed to a minor league deal last month.
