Flacco, Ravens to have 'regular dialogue'

CBS' Jason La Canfora expects the Ravens and free agent Joe Flacco to maintain a "regular dialogue" between now and the March 4 deadline to apply the franchise tag.
La Canfora's "money" is on the sides reaching a deal before the franchise-tag deadline. However, he believes it can't be assumed "beyond any doubt" that the Ravens will use the exclusive tag, as is widely expected. After "sniffing around some," La Canfora isn't convinced anyone besides the Browns would pursue Flacco if he was allowed to negotiate with other teams via the non-exclusive tag. Of course, one team would be all Flacco needs to leverage Baltimore. We'd be surprised if the exclusive tag wasn't applied.
