Javier Lopez to skip out on WBC

Javier Lopez has opted against participating for Puerto Rico in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
Lopez, who previously played in the World Baseball Classic in 2009, was listed on Puerto Rico's preliminary roster when it was first announced last month. However, the 35-year-old southpaw has decided to stay in spring training with the Giants and focus on getting ready for the regular season.
