Madson (elbow) resumes throwing program

Ryan Madson (elbow) resumed throwing on Monday.
Madson threw on flat ground in Angels camp and told reporters that he felt fine. The 32-year-old right-hander began experiencing discomfort in his surgically-repaired right elbow at the beginning of February and will now ease back into his spring routine. He seems doubtful to be ready for the start of the season. Ernesto Frieri would handle ninth-inning duties for Anaheim in his absence.
