Eagles have no plans to franchise tag DRC
Feb. 18, 2013 - 11:30 AM ET

The Philadelphia Inquirer confirms the Eagles have no plans to use the franchise tag, specifically on free agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

It greatly increases the odds that DRC will be playing elsewhere next season, as his combination of size, speed, athleticism and age (27 in April) should make him a hot commodity on the open market despite his inconsistent play. The Eagles could be planning to rebuild their broken secondary from the ground up.
