Angels manager Mike Scioscia says Ryan Madson (elbow) could resume throwing as soon as Monday.
Madson has been shut down for the last two weeks due to soreness in his surgically-repaired elbow, but an MRI this week revealed no structural damage. While it's good news that he should be cleared to resume his throwing program, it's unlikely that Madson will be ready for Opening Day. Ernesto Frieri remains a strong candidate for early-season save chances.
