Reds avoid arbitration with Homer Bailey

Reds and RHP Homer Bailey avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.35 million contract.
CBS' Sports Jon Heyman provided the contract details. Bailey won't be getting a multi-year extension this offseason, but GM Walt Jocketty says he plans to revisit a long-term deal "at some point." The 26-year-old posted a 3.68 ERA and 168/52 K/BB ratio in 208 innings last season and is under team control through 2014.
