Bills not planning to cut Fitzpatrick yet

New Bills coach Doug Marrone indicated Friday that Ryan Fitzpatrick will be kept on the roster for now.
The Bills could save $500,000 in salary cap space by releasing Fitzpatrick before a $3 million roster bonus comes due on March 13. Marrone's comments, however, suggest Fitzpatrick's roster bonus will be paid and he'll enter training camp "competing" with Tarvaris Jackson to start. It's a very surprising decision by the Bills. Fitzpatrick is also owed a $4.25 million base salary.
