The Associated Press reports that the Eagles would want a first- or second-round pick to "even consider" trading Nick Foles.
The AP's story cites an "NFL source," which is clearly in the Eagles organization and using the media in an attempt to create leverage. Foles' trade value is not a first- or second-round pick, and the Eagles know that. But they intend to feign the impression that it is, and that there's "no way" they'd trade Foles without being offered a top-two-round draft pick. We suspect Foles will be traded for a third- or fourth-rounder closer to April's draft. In the meantime, the Eagles will pretend Foles is part of Chip Kelly's long-term plan.
