Packers released S Charles Woodson.
Woodson broke the news via his wine company's Twitter account, and it was soon confirmed by his agent. His release clears $10 million in scheduled pay off the Packers' 2013 books. "It's part of the business," Woodson's rep told NFL.com. The sides could consider re-upping on a cheaper deal, but Rapoport hints it's not being discussed at this time. Going on 37, Woodson was not playing at a high level before a broken collarbone cost him the final nine games of the regular season. He isn't believed to be considering retirement, however.
