Rymer Liriano to undergo Tommy John surgery

Corey Brock of MLB.com reports that Rymer Liriano will miss the 2013 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
It's a tough break for the toolsy prospect. The Padres are hopeful he can swing a bat in six months and perhaps play in the Arizona Fall League and Dominican Winter League. Liriano, 21, was added to the 40-man roster over the offseason after batting .280/.350/.417 with eight homers and 32 steals between High- and Double-A.
