Andre Brown preparing to be starter
Andre Brown - RB - New York Giants
Feb. 15, 2013 - 12:15 PM ET

Restricted free agent RB Andre Brown says he's preparing to be the Giants' starting running back.

Recovering from a broken leg, Brown doesn't sound worried about his health. "That's the dream job right there, to go out there and start and play for the New York Giants," he said. "I'm going to put as much work as I need to put in to prepare for that role." David Wilson is certainly the favorite to lead the Giants' 2013 backfield in touches, but Brown is much stronger in pass protection at this stage of the game, and should open the year as the goal-line back. He's going to have fantasy value if he can stay on the field.
