The Bears remain noncommittal on free agent Brian Urlacher's future.
Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Urlacher wants "very badly" to stay in Chicago, but is "essentially waiting on the Bears to decide whether they want him back." Coach Marc Trestman has passed up multiple opportunities to publicly assure Urlacher's 14th season in the Windy City. Urlacher is amenable to a "hometown discount," but he is a diminished player and the new regime may want to move on.
