Scott Feldman to be in Cubs' rotation
Scott Feldman - S - Chicago Cubs
Feb. 14, 2013 - 4:10 PM ET

Cubs manager Dale Sveum said Thursday that Scott Feldman will be in the starting rotation.

Feldman posted a 5.09 ERA over 123 innings with the Rangers last season, but displayed solid secondary numbers and could be a nice sleeper making the move over to the easier league. Carlos Villanueva will likely be used in relief and Scott Baker (elbow) is expected to begin the season on the disabled list, so Travis Wood is the current favorite for the fifth spot in the rotation behind Matt Garza, Jeff Samardzija, Edwin Jackson and Feldman.
