S-Jax expected to void option and test market

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says the "most likely scenario" is that Steven Jackson voids his $7 million option and tests the free-agent market.
S-Jax and the Rams have yet to meet to discuss the matter, but those talks could take place at next week's Scouting Combine. Jackson has consistently said a decision will be made before March. The thinking has always been that he will opt out of the deal and pursue a bigger contract, while also keeping in touch with the Rams in hopes of a return. We expect the Steelers, Packers, and Falcons to show interest if Jackson does hit the open market.
