The Cowboys have retained fired WRs coach Jimmy Robinson in a lesser role due to his positive impact on Dez Bryant.
Robinson, 60, was replaced as wideouts coach by Derek Dooley, but spent the last two seasons working with Dez as something of a father figure. He's been retained as a senior coaching consultant. "Jimmy had a really positive impact on Dez," coach Jason Garrett explained. "It was a breakout year for Dez. ... I think he matured a ton, and there's no question the environment he was in certainly helped him, and Jimmy was a big part of that."
