Jets haven't asked Sanchez to restructure

The New York Post reports the Jets have not approached Mark Sanchez about restructuring his contract.
That's because Sanchez ' whose 2013 base salary is fully guaranteed ' has no incentive to, and any restructure would have to involve extending the Jets' guaranteed commitment to Sanchez beyond next season. Sanchez's $8.25 million 2013 salary is immovable, and should ensure the Jets can't afford viable competition for a QB whose play sunk to embarrassing, comical depths in 2012.
