Howie Kendrick had elbow surgery in October

Angels manager Mike Scioscia revealed Monday that Howie Kendrick underwent elbow surgery in October.
It was a minor procedure and Kendrick is already fully recovered. The 29-year-old second baseman batted .287/.325/.400 with eight homers, 14 steals and 67 RBI over 594 plate appearances last season for the Halos. He should remain a strong fantasy option in 2013.
