Jerry Jones excited about Garrett
Cowboys Offense - TM - Dallas Cowboys
Feb. 9, 2013 - 11:55 AM ET

Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said on the team's website that he supports head coach Jason Garrett and is excited about having him "for years to come."

This vote of confidence comes amid significant coaching changes for the Cowboys, including the hiring of DC Monte Kiffin, which Jones said were made by Garrett. "He basically sat down and said 'Here's the kind of coach I want,' " Jones said. "He did the evaluation. He basically said, 'Jerry, here's who I want to get.'" Several outgoing coaches had one year remaining on their contracts and some will still get paid by the Cowboys in 2013.
