Eagles DE Cole undergoes surgery on hand

Eagles RE Trent Cole underwent hand surgery this week and could be sidelined for the early portion of spring workouts.
Per USA Today's Mike Garafolo, the surgery "wasn't major" and was performed to correct an issue Cole dealt with for "over a year." Cole is coming off perhaps the worst season of his career. It's worth noting that Buffalo's Mario Williams claimed his 2012 season started painfully slowly due to a wrist injury, and it took off after he had surgery done. Hand usage is critical for pass rushers.
