Gamble likely gone in Charlotte?

The Charlotte Observer expects the Panthers to release LCB Chris Gamble.
It's the consensus among the local media, and a near formality thanks to the Panthers' disastrous cap situation. Gamble is still an adequate cover corner, but missed 12 games with injury in 2012, and will be on the wrong side of 30 next month. Even if the Panthers weren't facing a cap crunch, Gamble's $7.9 million salary would be prohibitive.
