Hasselbeck open to renegotiating contract

Due $5.5 million in 2013, Matt Hasselbeck says he's open to renegotiating his contract.
It suggests Hasselbeck believes there's at least a small possibility he could be released, though he views a restructure as an opportunity to extend his contract. "I would definitely be up for that, for sure," he said. "That topic came up maybe in September, October, November, somewhere in there. I would be excited ... because it would be basically having the opportunity to stay." Hasselbeck's salary is awfully steep for a strict backup with little or nothing left in the tank.
