Eagles released OT Demetress Bell.
DE/OLB Chris McCoy was signed in a corresponding roster move. Signed to a "five-year, $34.5 million contract" last April, only Bell's $3.25 million 2012 salary was guaranteed. He was due an odious $8.5 million roster bonus this offseason. Soundly defeated by King Dunlap for the Eagles' starting left tackle job last summer, Bell was a healthy scratch in Week 1, and appeared in just nine games thereafter. Bell has made over 30 career starts at left tackle, but consistently struggled. He should garner little, if any, interest as a starter on the open market.
