Nationals prospect right-hander Lucas Giolito (elbow) wrote on his Twitter account Wednesday that he threw from a distance of 30 feet.
Encouraging news regarding Giolito, who underwent Tommy John surgery last August. The 18-year-old right-hander is expected to miss most of the 2013 season, but he's regarded as the best pitching prospect in the Nationals' organization.
