Giants haven't approached Canty re: contract

The Giants have yet to approach DT Chris Canty about restructuring his contract.
It doesn't mean a whole lot, as Canty could still get cut. LB Michael Boley was released on Tuesday, and he says the team never approached him about reducing his salary. Injury-prone Canty, 30, has two years left on his deal, and he's due a base of $6.25 million in 2013. The Giants have Linval Joseph, Markus Kuhn, and Marvin Austin as young interior linemen.
