Giants sign Ramon Ramirez to minors deal

Giants signed RHP Ramon Ramirez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Ramirez had a 4.24 ERA and 52/35 K/BB ratio over 63 2/3 innings with the Mets last season, but he enjoyed success out of the Giants' bullpen from 2010-2011. With a solid spring, the 31-year-old right-hander should be in good position for an Opening Day roster spot.
