Impending free agent Joe Flacco is "pretty optimistic" about his chances of securing a long-term deal with the Ravens.
"I'm pretty optimistic, but who knows," Flacco said. "This is a great organization. I don't anticipate any problem." After winning Super Bowl MVP and tossing 11 touchdowns to zero interceptions this postseason, Flacco said owner Steve Bisciotti let him know before the season that if he won a Super Bowl Flacco could "go beat on [Bisciotti]'s desk and really put it to him." That's what Flacco plans to do. Baltimore will undoubtedly have to slap him with the exclusive franchise tag if a long-term deal can't be reached, and that carries about a $20.5 million price tag.
