Ted Ginn was held without a catch in the 49ers' Super Bowl XLVII loss to Baltimore.
Ginn was silent as usual in the receiving game, but he broke off a field-changing punt return of 32 yards midway through the third quarter, setting up a Frank Gore touchdown that cut Baltimore's lead to 28-20. Ginn also had a 31-yard kick return. An impending free agent, the ship seems to have sailed on Ginn emerging as an impact wide receiver. 28 in April, Ginn will likely be viewed by most clubs as a return specialist only on the open market.
