Giants, Romo close to agreeing on contract

Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Giants and Sergio Romo are close to a deal to avoid arbitration.
No word yet on the terms, but Romo requested $4.5 million and was offered $2.675 million by the Giants when arbitration figures were exchanged last month. The 29-year-old right-hander is arbitration-eligible for the second time this winter.
