LaFell triggers 2013 performance escalator

Brandon LaFell's 2013 base salary increased from $575,000 to $1.35 million after he hit escalators in his rookie deal.
LaFell has increased from starting two games as a rookie, to six as a sophomore, and finally 12 this past season. Working as the No. 2 receiver opposite Steve Smith, LaFell caught 44 passes for 677 yards and four touchdowns. However, he's no more than the third option in the passing game behind Smith and Greg Olsen. 2013 will be a make or break year for LaFell.
