Wallace Matthews and Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York were told by sources close to Alex Rodriguez that the veteran slugger has "no plans at all to retire."
Not a surprise. The scenario has been discussed this week in the wake of a story that connected Rodriguez to an anti-aging clinic in Miami which distributed performance-enhancing drugs, but it was mostly wishful thinking by those who would like to see the Yankees get out from the $114 million left on his contract. A-Rod is currently rehabbing from hip surgery and has every intention to continue his playing career.
