Seahawks OG Paul McQuistan triggered an escalator in his contract, upping his 2013 salary from $2 million to $3 million.
McQuistan signed a two-year deal last offseason, and he went on to start all 16 games with regular LG James Carpenter battling injuries and rookie RG J.R. Sweezy not performing. McQuistan, 30 in April, is much better suited in a backup role. He's moving in on the final year of his deal.
