Ryan Kalish undergoes shoulder surgery

Ryan Kalish underwent a successful right shoulder arthroscopy and posterior labrum repair on Wednesday.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles. Kalish was expected to compete for a spot on the Opening Day roster, but he'll now be out for the early part of the season. It's another tough break for someone who once looked like a future staple of Boston's outfield.
