According to ESPN.com's Bill Williamson, West Virginia QB Geno Smith "hasn't proven he is a top-of-the-draft prospect."
Williamson makes his opinion known in a piece about whether the Raiders should use the No. 3 pick on a player still viewed as the top quarterback in a weak class. He believes they should pass. Considering the Raiders' considerable investment in Carson Palmer and newfound enthusiasm about Terrelle Pryor, we agree. The Raiders possess perhaps the league's worst roster, and should again be in position to take a quarterback early in 2014, if they're so inclined.
