Abraham triggers $1M escalator for 2013
John Abraham - DL - Atlanta Falcons
Jan. 30, 2013 - 2:35 PM ET

John Abraham triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $3.25 million to $4.25 million.

Abraham just signed a new three-year pact with the Falcons last offseason, and the deal contains $4 million in escalators. Turning 35 years old in May, Abraham is still going strong, and he's only missed six starts over the past six seasons. He currently ranks No. 13 on the all-time NFL sacks list with 122 quarterback take-downs.
