Moats triggers salary escalator for 2013
Arthur Moats - LB - Buffalo Bills
Jan. 30, 2013 - 3:55 AM ET

Bills OLB Arthur Moats' base salary will be up from $575,000 to $1.323 million in 2013 after he hit escalators in his rookie contract.

Moats appeared in 14 games in 2012, opening the season as the starting strong-side linebacker. He was later replaced in the lineup by intriguing rookie Nigel Bradham. Moats also has the ability to play defensive end, and his role in new DC Mike Pettine's defense remains up in the air.
