Rams expected to 'reach out' to Jauron for DC
Rams Defense - TM - St. Louis Rams
Jan. 29, 2013 - 4:35 PM ET

The Rams are expected to "reach out" to ex-Browns DC Dick Jauron for their defensive-coordinator vacancy.

This one was easy to see coming after the Rams ended their Rob Ryan pursuit when a Monday meeting revealed it wasn't a "scheme fit." Jauron, 62, was sent packing from the Browns when Rob Chudzinski hired Ray Horton to run his defense. The sticking point with Ryan seemed to be a conflict of interests in running a 3-4 or 4-3. Coach Jeff Fisher is a 4-3 guy, and so is Jauron. There may be a fit.
