Dodgers Mattingly has spoken to Scott Rolen

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has spoken to free agent third baseman Scott Rolen.
ESPN's Buster Olney has reported in recent weeks that the Dodgers have considered making a run at Rolen, but the 37-year-old would prefer to stay in Cincinnati if he continues his career. Still a gold glove caliber defender, if healthy Rolen would represent an upgrade over Luis Cruz at third base for the Dodgers.
