Brandon Beachy (elbow) is on track to begin throwing from a mound at the beginning of spring training.
Beachy is seven months removed from Tommy John surgery and is hoping to rejoin the Braves' rotation by mid-June. The 25-year-old right-hander posted a 2.00 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 81 innings last season and should provide a big boost when he's ready to roll. Julio Teheran is the top candidate to hold down a rotation spot until Beachy is healthy.
