Stevie Johnson will still be allowed the freedom to run his routes in a "stop-and-start" manner under new coach Doug Marrone.
Ex-coach Chan Gailey tolerated the style as long as Johnson got to his designated spot in the proper time. "He's going to be able to have the freedom to play his game within the system," promised WRs coach Ike Hilliard. GM Buddy Nix reiterated the desire to get Johnson more looks in the slot, as well.
