Scott Elbert underwent a left elbow arthroscopy on Wednesday afternoon in Los Angles.
Elbert can start physical therapy in three days but won't be cleared to resume throwing for six weeks. Which means he is highly unlikely to be ready for the start of the 2013 regular season. The 27-year-old lefty posted a superb 2.20 ERA in 32 2/3 innings last summer for Los Angeles before undergoing elbow surgery in mid-September. Wednesday's procedure was his second in four months.
