Running backs coach Jim Anderson confirmed the Bengals are looking for a "complement" to BenJarvus Green-Ellis this offseason.
Both Anderson and head coach Marvin Lewis haven't been shy about expressing their desire to add talent to the running back position. Bernard Scott is coming off an ACL tear and entering free agency, so the widely held assumption is that they'll look to the draft. The Bengals' official website suggests the team could use a second-round pick on a prospect such as North Carolina's Giovani Bernard or Oregon's Kenjon Barner. Green-Ellis averaged just 3.93 yards per carry and caught 1.4 passes per game in 2012.
