Pro Bowl's fate to be decided by April
Aaron Rodgers - QB - Green Bay Packers
Jan. 24, 2013 - 12:15 AM ET

The NFL is hoping to reach a decision on the future of the Pro Bowl by the time the 2013 schedule is released in April.

The All-Star game's future has been up in the air since last year's pillow fight, while this year's edition appears poised to feature more alternates than ever. However, its fate is likely tied to T.V. ratings as much as anything else. The NFL is in the business of adding revenue streams, not subtracting them. It's ultimately unlikely that a game that's existed in its current form since 1971 will be discontinued.
