Ravens not expected to buck up for Williams
Cary Williams - DB - Baltimore Ravens
Jan. 22, 2013 - 1:40 PM ET

The Baltimore Sun expects the Ravens to "try to keep" impending free agent CB Cary Williams, but says Williams might get more on the open market than Baltimore is willing to offer.

Beat writer Mike Preston points to the salary cap as an issue, as well as the improved play of Chykie Brown and Corey Graham coupled with Lardarius Webb set to return from a torn ACL in 2013. Baltimore also has former first-round pick Jimmy Smith waiting in the wings. It's been reported that Williams believes he's worth $8-$10 million per year on the open market, but we don't see him attaining that.
