Per the new CBA's rules, Russell Wilson is not eligible for a contract renegotiation.
The topic is in the news because ESPN reported Sunday that someone from Wilson's camp asked for a new contract. But all draft picks now have a contract length of four years that can't be renegotiated until after the third season. That means Wilson will be one of the biggest bargains in the NFL for the next couple years at $526,217 in 2013 and $662,434 in 2014.
