Herrmann withdraws name from Eagles DC search

Giants LBs coach Jim Herrmann has withdrawn his name from the Eagles' defensive-coordinator search.

Herrmann will stay with the Giants. Philadelphia has been quiet in their search for a defensive boss. The only other two names linked to the job have been Alabama's Kirby Smart and Georgia's Todd Grantham. However, NFL.com's Albert Breer reported earlier Monday morning that the Eagles plan to stay out of the college ranks.
