Tigers agree to one-year deal with Porcello

Tigers and RHP Rick Porcello avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.1 million contract.
The 24-year-old right-hander was arbitration eligible for the second time due to his status as a super-two player. He's struggled in each of the past two seasons, but still owns 48 career wins through his age-23 season. A very popular name on the trade market, Porcello could be better served on a team with better infield defense behind him.
