Cardinals hired former Colts OC Bruce Arians as head coach.
ESPN's Adam Schefter says it's a four-year deal with a team option for a fifth year. Arians went 9-3 as Colts interim head coach this past season while subbing for Chuck Pagano. Arians' offensive philosophy is pass-first and vertical-based, which should bode poorly for mediocre-armed Kevin Kolb. Kolb is due $11 million in 2013 salary and bonuses, and is now a prime release candidate. Among this year's draft prospects, NC State's Mike Glennon would be the best fit for Arians' system. The Cardinals have the seventh overall pick. It remains to be seen who will coordinate the defense, but word is that Arians wants to replace Ray Horton with Todd Bowles.
